I will surely miss the Christmas carnival as not sure what time back to S'pore.

Looking forward to the anntic camp next monday. But, details of the camp still not up yet...Feeings of unknown, curiousity and excitment filling me...

We Are the Reason

We Are the Reason part II

Rehearsed by the CFs on Wed to prepare for tmr's christmas celebrations. Pity that I wont be able to make it tmr. Heard this song for the first time and I find it very meaningful. Stating the reason for this Christmas...We are the reason...The CFs sing with actions too!

As little children
We would dream of Christmas morn
Of all the gifts and toys
We knew we'd find
But we never realized
A baby born one blessed night
Gave us the greatest gift of our lives

We were (are) the reason
That He gave His life
We were (are) the reason
That He suffered and died
To a world that was lost
He gave all He could give
To show us the reason to live

As the years went by
We learned more about gifts
The giving of ourselves
And what that means
On a dark and cloudy day
A man hung crying in the rain
All because of love, all because of love

I've finally found the reason for living
It's in giving every part of my heart to Him
In all that I do, every word that I say
I'll be giving my all just for Him, for Him

This is the time!

Finally photos out, thanks to Loon. Last wed attended Boon's wedding. My poly friend. I think he is the first one in my friends gang to get married. This is not only a wedding dinner but really a gathering with my poly friends. Didnt get to see them since our last gathering beginning of this year. Too bad some of them are unable to turn up, bcoz of reservice, exams...Miss them.

Hong has indeed become thinner, Jie still the same, Hua zai has a gf, Loon with Xin. How envious to see them, couples and couples. Haha, no lah.

Still remember Hong and Sheng, drink until the faces so red. Then, shared a cab with AL and Sheng that night. The next day, Sheng told me the taxi fare is free coz the taxi uncle knows his relative's uncle's son blah blah blah...so funny and unbelievable..I think is God bless, don't need to pay...haha.

Saw Loon and Xin photos of holiday trip to Taiwan, wah my dreams holiday next time. Wondering when can I go...

Reflecting the past few weeks of holidays, it is a time of resting and waiting. Have think through alot of things, experienced hurts but thank God for his strength and love that I am able to overcome.

This period is also a time when I spend with my ex-colleagues (meeting them tonite for steamboat), my family, my friends. Able to build a more intimate relationship with my niece and nephew before they fly to Tokyo for holiday next dec...a time to patch up old relationships and build new ones...a time to reflect through and appreciate God's wonderful creations...

HIS JOURNEY

After reading this blog post from my senior pastor, I feel touched and an urge to share to others. Indeed, sharing about life and god's word through blogs with friends and even those you didnt see before can help to build up good relationships and good memory too.

Please see this blog: http://www.blogpastor.net/2006/11/14/my-blogging-journey/#comment-960.

Not of an advertising purpose :-P but just one of the blog posts that touch my heart and I believe most of the bloggers' hearts also.

Note: SP, pls allow me to use your blog post, sorry to share without your permission haha :-P

Two days to count down...hopefully, it will be over soon!

God's Love for Israel

Hosea 11:3-4 (New International Version)

3 It was I who taught Ephraim to walk, taking them by the arms; but they did not realize it was I who healed them.

4 I led them with cords of human kindness, with ties of love; I lifted the yoke* from their neck and bent down to feed them.

More in bible gateway

*The yoke in dictionary means- frame across someone's shoulders for carrying two equal loads. The burden that God has promised he will carry for us.

Wow, finally able to bath in my own toilet yesterday. One word my mum and I say is: "so shiok!". New, huge shower, new toilet bowl, new pretty pink and white tiles. I dun haf a digital camera, or else will take the photos to let you all see.

Today last two days (the 9th day) of end of upgrading of my house. Really mental torture and lots of sweat and time cleaning the house at the end of the day. Yesterday I am really tired, as finally able to put my "hearts and mind" into it, to help clean the house and buying toilet fixtures and distributing drinks and cake to the construction workers. Mum really speaks sense into me as I finally help out, was really "playing a fool" the past few days. Athough, it is a "no pay" job, but I am so happy to do it.

Although the upgrading still lot to go, like upgrading of the lifts, carpark, painting of the flats, but really thank God that he has put us through. Really get to know my neighbours well as we go to one another's house to take a lot at the renovation and chatting at the corridors...Didnt really get to know them well before, quite a number of friendly and helpful neighbours, giving you "tips" of where to buy the toilet fixtures, what to do etc... Even those neighbours that frankly speaking, I found noisy and irratating spoke to me, and I found them actually "okay". I contributed one newspapers to my neighbour's daughter last night as I only need the "job"page. When I become so "kepo"?

Interestingly, during this "dusty" period, I even get tips from other people. Like able to know from Ruth how she planted the aloe vera at her house, how she prepare the aloe vera, showed me the photos of her plants outside her house. She is my next door neighbour's elder sister, helping her brother to look after the house while he and his wife working. She even wanting to bring me some of her "baby aloe vera" to consume. I like aloe vera!

Then this uncle (quite an old age) speaking fluent english said about the water pressure thing. will be higher at night as fewer people using it. He will do the last check tomorrow before "successfully" handing the unit to us.

Then get to know the different construction workers from different countries, like China, Malaysia, indian(?). They really quite experts. This make me realise and confirm that God creates different people with different skills, every individual is special in God's eyes!

Saviour, let me walk beside thee (you)
Let me feel my hand in thine (yours);
let me know the joy of walking
in thy (your) strength and not in mine - Sidebotham

Anntic Camp here I come!

Ocean View resort

Haha, juz went to the temp toilet downstairs. I went to the male toilet coz the other two female toilet full and I am super urgent! When I came out, the other aunty went in also, she some sort like gave me a wink. Haha.

The registeration form said ocean view. Should be this place I find from the web:
http://www.holidayasia.net/oceanviewpd.htm (viewed on 13th Nov). Why like doing ob report? Haha.

Location: BeachAddress: Batu 9, Jalan Pantai, 71050 Port Dickson, Malaysia.

Ocean View Resort is a multi block of 7-storey apartment resort spreading on 7.5 acres of prime sea-facing land owned by individual owners. Most of the owners are Malaysians and investors from neighbouring countries, mainly Singaporeans.

It is strategically located at Telok Kemang at the 9th mile, Jalan Pantai (Coastal Road), overlooking the Straits of Malacca, and just a couple of minutes down to the beautiful sandy beach. Just 45 minutes drive from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport and 3.5 hours from Singapore.

When I heard from ZM this morning, that she and M and chairman and the rest not going, I suddenly feel disappointed. Should I be like them, find a job now instead and not go to this anntic camp? But, seeing the program really make me feel excited. With speaker from OMF (Overseas Missonary Fellowship), Dr Patrick Fung, with bible studies and workshops abt Hosea, prophecy, hearing god's voice...then, registering now will be $145. (Early bird). Although only $10 cheaper, but...

I am so confuse at first and wanting to hear what God said? Didnt I pray to him yesterday that I wanting to step out of my comfort zone, and meet new friends from the different universities. Didnt I want to know more abt his word? Although, job will enable me to earn more money, but I think I will definately regret if I didnt go to this camp...11th to 16th Dec. What big deal without Chairman's, ZM's company, didnt I go to retreat alone also? But, at least, got Evelyn there, and two other ladies going...I can get to know more friends there and have fun!

I have sent the reg form to chairman and will transfer the money to him later. Let's get my fingers crossed and wait and dream about the facilities...

Raining, raining...

Raining...raining...at least wash the dust and sand away. But, will hinder the work of the construction workers doing the drilling of the windows outside. Its already 6.25pm and some of them are still cleaning...Money really hard to earn! The cleaners really deserve a pat on their back and that's what mum do...Giving them swiss rolls and packet drinks. This reminds me to "stock up" our swiss rolls and packets drinks later.

I really pity the construction workers sometimes. I really feel an urge to do something for them sometimes...but really a chill in my spine when they stare at you once you stepped out of yr hse or take lift...But, I really no choice, have to go downstairs toilet leh.

But, good that the security guards are doing something, they are patrolling round the temp toilets and neighbourhood. One of the uncle security guards also promise to inform his boss to hire more manpower. My mum reported to him about two indian men in the male toilet very long, taking chair inside somemore...my "2nd floor" neighbours also saw them. This really scare me...These few days, mum has "escorted" me to the toilet downstairs...really wants to thank her for her patience, even accompanied me down without complaints around 11 plus at night.

So, young girls, better be careful on your way home. Its better to ask someone to accompany you if you come home late...better to prevent than when things really happen...:)

I also learn something: need two solutions to solve one problem. One is to do whatever u can, as human being. 2nd is to seek God for his help and guidance. Always to pray for our leaders, no matter is our Government or our church pastors, elders, cell leaders.

Can Christians drink wine?

Someone has asked me...christians can drink wine meh? I found an answer here: http://www.rbc.org/bible_study/answers_to_tough_questions/answers/30797.aspx

=>If the wine Jesus created at the wedding of Cana was alcoholic, does this mean that He approved the consumption of alcohol?

The Greek word oinos, translated as "wine" in the New Testament, simply means wine. The Greeks had a different word for grape juice. The International Standard Bible Encyclopedia suggests that in New Testament times wine usually existed in a fermented form.

It states: Unfermented grape juice is a very difficult thing to keep without the aid of modern antiseptic precautions, and its preservation in the warm and not overly clean conditions of ancient Palestine is impossible (p.3086).

The references to wine in the New Testament are both positive and negative. For example, John the Baptist's refusal to drink wine was a sign of his special responsibility as the last prophet in the Old Testament tradition, and Jesus was not willing to take wine while on the cross because of His desire to experience fully the "cup of suffering" that His Father had given Him.

On the other hand, Jesus used wine to illustrate His teaching. His first miracle was the creation of wine at the marriage in Cana (
John 2:1-11 ), and He used the illustration of "new wine" and "new skins" to stress the need for a change of perspective about the law ( Matthew 9:16-17 ).

Timothy was exhorted by Paul to take a little wine as medicine, while drunkenness is severely condemned ( Romans 13:13 ).

To sum up, "it is better not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything else that will cause your brother to fall" (Romans 14:21).

Dusty home

First time went to the temp resident toilet to bath. Brought my clothes, shampoo, bath gel, conditioner downstairs...The place even bigger than my home temp toilet. The shower bigger too, haha. But, get an angry look from an auntie. (Don't know why, I think she waited too long, anyway only two female toilets. She makes me feel abit annoyed.). Hope I wont get my fever back again after bathing. At least, I am still alright now...

Today is only the 4th day of the upgrading...my dad said only until next tue can I bath at my own "brand new" toilet...Hopefully...I need to pray hard :-P..Dusty and smelly and trap in my own room. Pray hard for my fever to go off and my cough...hope I can get well soon and able to find a job soon...

Exams over and I really think alot: What should I do next? How should I spend my holiday? I didnt even have time to think so much during school time. I think too much time liao, to make my mind wonder about....Anyway, I think should be going for the Anntic camp on 11th to 16th Dec...Wondering who is going? But, heard from Connie, chairman is going...hope the other seniors going also...

Getting a bit dizzy liao...

Colour-personality test

What is your favourite colour? Your favourite colour can easily express your personality and character traits. (See for yourself whether true not?)

If your natural choice is the colour red: you are the outgoing type. You not only act on impulse, but you are prone to abrupt mood swings. You have a lot of compassion for fellow human beings and can be easily persuaded. Though you have an optimistic approach to life, you don't hesitate to grumble and complain as well. Your spontaneous nature is assertive, you freely voice your opinions. You have a strong sex drive and are likely to end up having extra-marital affairs, unless your strong sense of duty restrains you from indulging in wild fantasies.

The choice of orange: shows that you are basically good-natured and loyal. You are sociable but at the same time you tend to be swayed by the opinions of other people. You are a generous soul, sincere at heart. Your gestures are friendly, and inspired by goodwill. More often than not, you are overtaken by feelings of wanton elation.

If you have preference for yellow: it shows that you have a vivid imagination and lots of nervous energy. Your thoughts are clear and well organised. You do harbour a need to help the world, but you won't get the dirt under your fingernails doing that. Deep down you are a shy person and a loner; perhaps that's what makes you a reliable friend. You may not show it, but you would actually love to be respected and admired for your prudence.

Preference for the colour green shows that you are a dutiful citizen. You are not only aware but also sensitive to social customs, and bear a good name in your community. Your choice also indicates your honesty and straightforwardness. You have a normal sex drive and are very emotionally attached to your family. You have the potential to be an excellent teacher.

If your personal colour is blue: you are introspective and purposeful by nature. You hold conservative beliefs and under stressful conditions, prefer to withdraw into gentler surroundings. You seem to have a lot of control over your passions and desires, but are sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, nonetheless. You are a loyal friend and would prefer to lead a sober life.

If your choice is purple then you are intelligent and quick-witted. You have a keen eye for detail, things which are normally overlooked by people. You are infuriated at the slightest provocation. You tend to be extremely effusive in your expressions of grief. You are a creative person and an egotist of sorts. You seem to possess a cultivated taste for the subtle in life, while recognizing the magnificent.

A personal choice of the colour brown implies that you are meticulous when it comes to work, thrifty when it comes to money, and adamant in your beliefs. You are a very reliable and composed person, not impulsive at all. You can rival a seasoned horse trader in your talent for striking the best bargain.

Exams Fever!

My Bc assignment finally finished and handed in yesterday. Thanks to Lijia for burning the bc for me and thanks for driving me to and fro your house just to get that cd burned. Pai seh lah.
Then, it is already 3pm when we reached the school and started our revision. But, glad that we have got into some serious reading in the sch library for around 3 hours.

I saw Huimin in the library. She was my junior back then in TP e2matrix club and now she my senior in yr 1 sem 2. Also, studying business managment. Wow, I really find it difficult to believe. But, well, because I "wasted" that two years working. But, nvm, I gained quite alot of experiences from that 2 years of working. Actually, wanted to ask her about the other juniors, well, really miss them alot and enjoy that time training them and selling textbooks together...
Wonderful memories...But, she was so engaged in her studies... and me too, wanting to make full use of that 3 hours studying my ob...But, still only finish 2/3 of the chapter, have to catch up reading today again...ob textbook so thick and so many chapters...:%

Also met kunda when me and Lijia having our "tibits break" outside the library. He just finished his lifesaving cca. Lifesaving, hmm... I am not surprised that sim provides this cca, but not snowboarding...where to find snow?

Read about this this morning, to calm everyone due to exam fever:

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." - from Matthew 11:28 (by the creater of Heaven and Earth).

And an interesting article (email from my cousin):

A woman was walking down the street when she was accosted by a particularly dirty and shabby-looking homeless woman who asked her for a couple of dollars for dinner. The woman took out her bill fold, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some wine with it instead of dinner?" "No," I had to stop drinking years ago, the homeless woman replied. "Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" the woman asked "No I don't waste time shopping," the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive." "Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?" the woman asked. "Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!" "Well," said the woman, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight." The homeless woman was astounded. "Won't your hubby be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting." The woman replied, "That's okay. It's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments, and wine."

LIFE AWAY FROM GOD

Two brothers go to a lake to play with a little boat thatthey had made. The younger boy excitedly places it in the water and watches it sail. The boat slowly begins to driftaway, until it is out of his reach. With great fear, hecries out for his elder brother, to save the boat. The elderboy immediately picks up some stones and begins to throw itat the boat. The younger boy starts to yell at him saying, what are you doing, I said save my boat, not destroyit!!!!?. The elder boy responds, Relax. I know what I amdoing. He begins to throw the stones, past the boat, causingripples to form, and that draws the boat closer to theshore. Finally the boat is back in its owner's arms.A lot of us are sometimes like that little boat. Sin causesus to drift away from God. Then we find so many things goingwrong in our lives and wonder why. Sometimes God throwsstones at us, not to harm us but to cause ripples in ourlives that will draw us back to Him and not further away. The more we live our lives according to what WE think isright, the more we will be discouraged, because there is NO LIFE AWAY FROM GOD. God is our source of power, strength, peace and joy.Whatever your problem may be, don't look at it as apunishment but a challenge to better your self. God has the power to turn things around in your life and He will do it.Problems are always there, but for a reason, that is to makeus better and not bitter. How we choose to respond to our problem will determine the results that we get in the end. This is our God!!!
